Started career as an Assistant Director Thar Coal Project in March 1996.In the early phase ofmy career worked in harsh weather condition under the supervision of seasoned geologistsfrom GSP. It was the start of Thar coal exploration. In this early phase, work scope includedmarking boreholes location, geological logging, geotechnical logging and also responsible for core handling, sample packing for laboratory analyses. After fieldwork office activity included report writing, preparation of Isopach maps, columnar sections, cross sections, reserves estimations. Co-authored, all the reports compiled during 1996-2003 on Thar Coalfield. Worked with RWE Power International Germany on Thar Coal Bankable Feasibility Project where GSP was involved in contractual drilling and thus involved in geological logging, and data collection for environmental report. Performed duty as a coordinator between RWE, GSP and Sindh coal authority for the year 2003-04. During 2005 to 2007 engaged in field assignment including geological mapping (Lakhra, Thatta and Dadu areas) along with assessment and evaluation of mineral resources. Office work included technical and non-technical assignments, responsible for arrangements of seminars and presentations at GSP Karachi Office. Also remained involved in arranging extracurricular activities, such as organizing Independence Day and Religious functions at Karachi office.

In 2013 assigned the lead role in Badin Coal Project. Supervised coal exploration procedure and core drilling operation. He was involved in all the technical and non-technical activities of the project including purchases of Truck Mounted Hydraulic Crane, Water Tanker and computers for the project. Also involved in logistics purchase, including two Suzuki Cultus, one Suzuki Bolan, One Toyota Single Cabin(4×4), one Toyota Double Cabin (4×4).

Purchased Chemical lab. equipment like: Sulfur determinator, Calorimeter for Heating.

Values and Ed-XRF as in-charge procurement.

Promoted to post of Deputy Director in May 2015 and continued working in Badin Coal Project. Impart training to the newly assigned Assistant Directors, supervised all the drilling activities in Badin and adjoining areas.

Promoted to the post of Director in August 2017 and assigned as Project Director Badin Coal Project. After a successful drilling operation project was closed on 30 th june 2020, PC-IV submitted to the ministry. Currently working as Director Incharge Southern zone, Karachi.
